The world's largest water-light complementary power plant successfully put into operation!
Recently, the Kola Photovoltaic Power Station, phase I of the Lianghekou Hydropower Station on the Yalong River, was connected to the grid to generate electricity, marking the official operation of the world's largest (installed capacity of 1 million kilowatts) and highest altitude (4,600 meters above sea level) hydropower station. Among them, the GIS prefabrication equipment provided by Taikai provides a strong support for the smooth grid connection of the project.
The power station is connected to the Lianghekou hydropower Station 50 kilometers away through 500kV transmission lines, to achieve photovoltaic power generation and hydropower "bundled" delivery, the average annual electricity generation after the plant is put into operation, can save more than 600,000 tons of standard coal per year, reduce carbon dioxide emissions more than 1.6 million tons.
This project has for the first time raised the scale of the global "water and light complementary" project to one million kilowatts, and has a leading role in serving China's "double carbon" goal, optimizing the national energy structure, and building a "clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient" modern energy system. The successful operation of the project has been widely reported by the People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency, CCTV, China News Network, China Energy News and other state media.
